Manufacturer Product Description
The DiMAGE E223 puts 2 megapixels in your hand, giving you enough detail to make large, high-quality prints at home (up to 20 x 30 cm with a 300dpi inkjet printer). And color? Leave it to Minolta's optical expertise and an RGB color filter. They ensure that your memories get captured in impressive color.

The new DiMAGE E223 has a high power 3x optical zoom lens -a range equivalent to a 38mm-114mm zoom lens on a 35mm camera - that has the flexibility to capture pictures ranging from wide-angle landscapes to intimate portraits. In addition to the 3X optical zoom, the DiMAGE E223 provides up to 3X digital zoom power, selectable in 0.2X increments. The resulting maximum 9X zoom capacity equals a 342mm lens on a 35mm camera.

Automatic Control
The E223 provides fully automatic operation for shooting quality pictures with ease. Simply pressing the power switch activates the camera's autofocus (AF), autoexposure (AE), automatic flash and auto white balance (AWB). While the camera's autofocus keeps images sharp, the Programmed AE intuitively calibrates aperture and shutter speed to optimum levels. The White Balance makes the appropriate adjustments in any lighting situation to accurately reproduce the subject's true color.

Movie Recording with Audio
Wish for more than a still shot? No problem. Just switch modes to record movie clips up to 60 seconds long, complete with sound. You can see and hear what you've recorded on the camera's LCD monitor, or connect the DiMAGE E223 to your TV for a big-screen experience.

Built-in Self-Timer for Self Portraits
The convenient self-timer delays shutter release for approximately 10 seconds after the shutter-release button has been pressed, allowing you to set up the shot and appear in the photo. A blinking lamp on the front of the camera indicates countdown.

Built in Flash
The versatile built-in flash features four selectable flash modes: Autoflash, Autoflash with re-eye reduction, Fill-Flash, and Flash Cancel. The red-eye reduction feature helps to reduce the annoying red-eye effect common in flash photos.

Easy to Use Controls
Fully automatic, fully enjoyable. When set to Auto, the DiMAGE E223 adjusts itself to deliver optimum results for conditions you're shooting in. Focusing, exposure, flash, and white balance are automatically adjusted.

Changing settings should be quick and easy to do. And that's where user-friendly menus come in. Each clearly marks the feature it controls, making it effortless to master the camera.

Transfer images quickly and easily with the DiMAGE E223's bundled USB cable. To transfer images from the camera to the computer, simply connect the USB cable and drag and drop the images into the computer.

Save Images to the Built-in and or External Memory
The E223 can save images to the Built-in 8MB Memory and or images can be stored on an SD Memory Card or MultiMedia Card. The 8MB built-in memory allows the camera to temporarily store images and also allows the user to copy images between the memory card and the camera memory.
